Delia Zavala

Delia Zavala, 68, of Houston, Texas passed away on Friday July 18, 2014 at Kindred Healthcare, The Heights. Born August 19, 1945 in San Juan, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Marcos Zavala and Virginia Zavala.
Delia was an amazing and loving mother, sister and friend. She loved the simple things in life, having coffee, reading the newspaper and shopping. What she loved most of all was spending time with family and friends. She loved the beach, parties and friendly conversation. All who knew her loved her, and her life was an example of love, kindness, compassion, and servitude. Delia’s children and grandchildren were the pride of her life, and the legacy of her kind spirit and passion for life will live on through them.
Delia was a faithful Christian and loved the Lord. Her strong faith encouraged others and she frequently shared the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ. She always said “The Lord will take care of me”. Even in the toughest times of her life, she knew that it was all a part of the Lord’s plan. That strong belief in God was within her, it was what she was made up of and it was her heart and soul. She was a great example of what the Lord would want everyone to be on this earth. She will be missed but never forgotten.
She is survived by three siblings, Bertha Garcia, Beatriz Villagomez, and Anthony Zavala; five daughters, Liza Kreska, Michelle Mendoza, Virginia Garcia, Claudia Curtis, and Ruby Saucedo; eleven grandchildren, Kristina, Erica, Valerie, Ashley, Jessica, Eugene Jr., Ricky, Alex, Adrian, Meagan, and Katelyn; six great grandchildren, Brianna, Julio, Isaac, Ivory, Jason, and Marc. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
