JS Millsap

Dr. JS Millsap, 87, of El Lago, Texas, passed away on Thursday, the 30th of October. JS was born to Martin and Rosie (nee Ford) Millsap in Seminole, Oklahoma, on June 1, 1927. He is survived by his wife, Thamer Sacco Millsap, sister Evah Tate and son James Millsap.
JS attended TCU and attained his B.S. from Texas Wesleyan College in 1950. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch, Houston, in 1953. In 1957, he completed his graduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. He was a resident at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston.
JS was commissioned as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army. He was also a Captain in the U.S. Air Force. While in the Air Force, he completed a periodontics internship at Brooks General Hospital in San Antonio, and became the Kelly AFB Periodontist/Endodontist.
Once retired from the military, he went into private periodontal practice, and simultaneously, was a Professor at UTDB in Houston. JS served as the Houston Dental Society President in 1977.
He retired from private practice in 2007 at age 80, and was a Hospitality Room volunteer at M.D. Anderson until his death.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 2p.m. on Saturday, November 8, at Crowder Funeral Home, 111 E. Medical Center Blvd., Webster, Texas. Memorial Remembrances in memory of JS, may be made to MD Anderson, PO Box 4486, Houston, Texas, 77210

  1. Por muchos anos que uno viva, las persons no quieren morir. Dios nos creo con el deseo de vivir para siempre (Eclesiastes 3:11). El sacrifico a su hijo, Jesuscristo, para que todo el que ejerce fe en el tenga vida eterna. Dios va a quitar para siempre el dolor y la muerte (Revelacion 21:4, 5). Y va a resucitar a todos los que estan en las tumbas conmemorativas (Juan 5:28, 29). Que maravilloso sera cuando volvamos a ver vivos a nuestros seres queridos que han muerto y vivir para siempre con ellos en la tierra (Salmos 37:29). Un abrazo para todos.
