Robert “Bobby” Almogabar

Robert “Bobby” Almogabar,
66, entered heaven July 26,2014. A native Houstonian born June 10, 1948 to Ariel and Isabel Almogabar. Bobby was an active member in his church choir for over 30 years. He earned his BS in Business Management in 2009. Bobby is survived by his mother, Isabel (93); Gloria, his wife of 42 years; son, Robby (Theresa); daughters, Melody Barr (Darren) and Valerie; grandchildren Steven, Lianna, Karissa, Noah, and Phillip; brother, Ariel; sister, Rebecca; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by his father, sister; Rosie Villanueva, and brother; Ronnie. An avid trombone player since Marshall MS, he enjoyed his time playing in various bands throughout his lifetime, including Jeff Davis Jazz Band, 9 Hit High, and HCC Jazz Ensemble. His time was consumed with what he loved the most, his children and grandchildren. He was the best secret hand-shaking tickle monster this world would ever know and was affectionately called Popo. His wife, true partner and best friend, Gloria, is what Bob loved the very most. He will forever be missed but never forgotten. Visitation and Rosary will be from 5-9pm, Wednesday, July 30th and Funeral Mass held Thursday, July 31st, 10AM at St. Patrick’s Church, 4918 Cochran Street, Houston, with interment to follow at Forest Park Westheimer.
