Benedicta Hidalgo Vives (1944 - 2024)
Benedicta Hidalgo Vives, beloved wife and mother to seven children, 80 years-old, of Houston, Texas, passed away at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital of medical complications on December 21, 2024, leaving a void her family cannot fill.
She was born in San Felipe, Chile in 1944.
Benedicta was a devoted mother to Martin Jr., Marcos, Antonio, Paula, Maria, Fernando and Tomas, her pride and joy. She always said their birth changed her life for the better, and they felt that in the love and support she provided.
Benedicta took special joy in humor by making her special jokes, and found time and space in her heart for each of her children. Her unwavering kindness was limitless and was known for her ability to love all her children equally.
Benedicta was also a grandmother to Lydia, Julian, Keana and Andrew whom she helped raise and also had shared her amazing "grandma" touch of love.
Benedicta was not only a cherished mother and a grandmother, she was also a dedicated wife to her husband, Martin Sr.  
Benedicta was preceded in death by her children Marcos, Antonio, Fernando, and is survived by Paula, Maria and Tomas, and her husband, Martin Sr., who will never forget the love she brought to their lives. Her son, Martin Jr., tragically passed away the day after her passing from a car accident.  
Benedicta was strong, brave and extraordinary and will be missed by each person whose lives she touched.

Benedicta Hidalgo Vives, amada esposa y madre de siete hijos, de 80 años, de Houston, Texas, falleció en el Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital por complicaciones médicas el 21 de diciembre de 2024, dejando un vacío que su familia no puede llenar.
Nació en San Felipe, Chile en 1944.
Benedicta fue una madre devota de Martín Jr., Marcos, Antonio, Paula, María, Fernando y Tomás, su orgullo y alegría. Ella siempre dijo que su nacimiento cambió su vida para mejor, y ellos lo sintieron en el amor y apoyo que ella les brindó.
Benedicta disfrutaba especialmente del humor haciendo sus chistes especiales, y encontraba tiempo y espacio en su corazón para cada uno de sus hijos. Su bondad inquebrantable era ilimitada y era conocida por su capacidad de amar a todos sus hijos por igual.
Benedicta también era abuela de Lydia, Julian, Keana y Andrew, a quienes ayudó a criar y también había compartido su asombrosa toque de amor de "abuela".
Benedicta no sólo fue una querida madre y abuela, sino que también fue una esposa dedicada a su esposo, Martin Sr.  
A Benedicta le precedieron en la muerte sus hijos Marcos, Antonio y Fernando, y le sobreviven Paula, María y Tomás, y su esposo, Martín Sr., quienes nunca olvidarán el amor que ella trajo a sus vidas. Su hijo, Martin Jr., falleció trágicamente al día siguiente de su fallecimiento en un accidente automovilístico.  
Benedicta era fuerte, valiente y extraordinaria y cada persona cuyas vidas tocó la extrañará.
