Carlos Rodríguez, 64, passed away on April 22, 2026. He now rests in peace in the presence of God, where there is no pain or suffering, and where his soul has found eternal comfort. He was born August 4th, 1961 in Agualeguas, NL, México, a place that always held a special place in his heart. After spending most of his life in Houston, he recently fulfilled his dream of retiring and returning to his beloved hometown of Agualeguas, NL.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Elena Lopez de Rodriguez, and his children: Ana Laura Herrera and husband Ruben Herrera, Carlos Rodriguez Jr., and Daniel Rodriguez and wife Leslie Rodríguez. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Anthony Chapa, Víctor Manuel Chapa, Dalila Anahi Chapa, Ruben Herrera Jr., and Milena Rodríguez, whom he loved immensely. Likewise, his step-grandchildren: Anthony, Ashley, and Audrey Herrera. He is also survived by his siblings: Pedro Rodriguez, Hermila Arambul, Francisca Martínez, Onofre Rodríguez, and César Rodríguez. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Hermila Rodríguez, and his brother, Hermilo Rodríguez.
Carlos was known for being humble, kind, and deeply loving. A hardworking man and devoted provider, he built his life around his family. He was an amazing husband, father, son, grandfather, and friend—someone who gave selflessly and loved unconditionally. Carlos found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved watching sports and was a devoted fan of the Houston Astros and C.F. Monterrey Rayados. He enjoyed barbecuing for his family, listening to music, dancing and singing and, most of all, spending time with his loved ones. Those moments, filled with laughter and togetherness, will forever live in the hearts of his family.
With faith in God, we find comfort in knowing he now enjoys eternal life, and that his light will continue to guide his family. His legacy is one of love, strength, and devotion. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on April 30, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Vazquez Funeral Home, 750 Uvalde Rd, Houston, TX 77015, with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow in Agualeguas, Nuevo León, México, on May 2 and May 3, 2026.
Carlos Rodríguez, de 64 años, falleció el 22 de abril de 2026. Ahora descansa en paz en la presencia de Dios, donde no hay dolor ni sufrimiento, y donde su alma ha encontrado consuelo eterno. Nació el 4 de agosto de 1961 en Agualeguas, NL, México, un lugar que siempre ocupó un lugar especial en su corazón. Después de vivir la mayor parte de su vida en Houston, recientemente cumplió su sueño de jubilarse y regresar a su querido pueblo de Agualeguas.
Le sobreviven su amada esposa, María Elena López de Rodríguez, y sus hijos: Ana Laura Herrera y esposo Ruben Herrera, Carlos Rodríguez Jr., y Daniel Rodríguez y esposa Leslie Rodríguez. También deja atrás a sus queridos nietos: Anthony Chapa, Victor Manuel Chapa, Dalila Anahí Chapa, Ruben Herrera Jr. y Milena Rodríguez, a quienes amó inmensamente. Asimismo, le sobreviven sus nietos políticos: Anthony, Ashley y Audrey Herrera. También le sobreviven sus hermanos: Pedro Rodríguez, Hermila Arambul, Francisca Martínez, Onofre Rodríguez y Cesar Rodríguez. Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Pedro y Hermila Rodríguez, y su hermano, Hermilo Rodríguez.
Carlos era conocido por ser humilde, bondadoso y profundamente amoroso. Hombre trabajador y proveedor dedicado, construyó su vida en torno a su familia. Fue un esposo, padre, hijo, abuelo hermano y amigo excepcional; alguien que dio todo de sí y amó incondicionalmente. Carlos encontraba alegría en los placeres sencillos de la vida. Le encantaba ver deportes y era un fiel aficionado de los Houston Astros y del C.F. Monterrey Rayados. Disfrutaba hacer carne asada para su familia, escuchar música, bailar y cantar y, sobre todo, pasar tiempo con sus seres queridos. Esos momentos, llenos de alegría y unión, vivirán para siempre en los corazones de su familia.
Con fe en Dios, confiamos en que ahora goza de la vida eterna y que su luz seguirá guiando a su familia. Su legado es uno de amor, fortaleza y dedicacíon. Será profundamente extrañado y siempre recordado por todos que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo y amarlo.
El velorio se llevará a cabo el 30 de abril de 2026, de 4:00 p.m. a 9:00 p.m., en la Funeraria Vázquez , ubicada en 750 Uvalde Rd, Houston, TX 77015, con el rezo del rosario a las 7:00 p.m. Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo posteriormente en Agualeguas, Nuevo León, México, los días 2 y 3 de mayo de 2026.
