Crispin Navarro Juguilon passed away on January 24, 2025 at the age of 94.
He was born on November 19, 1930, in Mangaldan, Pangasinan (Phillippines), to Jose Juguilon and Maria Navarro. Born to humble beginnings, the second in a family of six children. He was a young teenager during the four bitter years of the Japanese occupation from 1942-1945. Life struggles have taught him the importance of devotion to family and faith in God, and instilled in him the importance of hard work, perseverance, and responsibility.
He obtained a degree in accounting and eventually made a career as supervisor for the Phillippine IRS, until he retired at age 60. He was passionate about his work, strict, headstrong, but also ethical and fair.
Cris was exceedingly generous, kind, unselfish, and compassionate. He was always there to lend a helping hand and never expecting anything in return. His kindness made an impact on the lives of many of his relatives and friends.
He was a devoted and loving husband to Guadalupe, his wife of 68 years, whom he fondly calls “Mommy”. Together, they raised three successful children, of whom he is so proud of, including Maritess, John, and Jay. Although he raised three children from birth, Cris acted as a father figure to many, including Myra, Cyd, Kim, Joel, and Jeffrey, along with his granddaughter, Ashley.
His greatest pride and joy are his two granddaughters, Ashley Marie and Joni Marie.
His love for his wife Guadalupe and his family was only surpassed by his love for God. Cris believed that with God, anything is possible. He would say, “May awa ang Diyos.” His strong faith in God and reliance on God’s grace inspired him to try to get better, despite the odds. He fought hard for over 2 years, but his body was tired. God finally called him home to his heavenly kingdom, where he has undoubtedly reunited with family members that have preceded him in death, including all the animals he has loved and lost during his time on earth. It wouldn’t be Heaven to him without that.
Cris Juguilon will be deeply missed by his family, brother, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He is survived by his beautiful wife, Guadalupe; his eldest daughter Maritess and her husband, Chuck Lobb, his eldest son Crispin John and his wife, Gigi, and his youngest son, Jay; granddaughters, Ashley Marie and Joni Marie; and his brother Benny and his wife, Amor.
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of our family members, relatives, and friends who came to visit and helped care for Dad, and for the expressions of love and support in the past 2 years.
Special thanks to Gigi, Fil, his nurses Stephanie and Judy, and the nursing and medical staff at HCA Clear Lake, PAM Rehab Hospital, and Ignite SNF, for the compassionate care. And to Al Serna and his team for their support during this difficult time.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16
SAFE IN GOD”S KEEPING: I am home in Heaven, dear ones, Oh! So happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty in this everlasting light. All the pain and grief are over, every restless yearning past; I am now at peace forever, safely home in Heaven at last. Dear ones do not grieve so sorely. For I love you dearly still. Try to look beyond earth’s shadows. Pray to trust our Father’s will. When your work is all completed, He will gently call you Home. Oh! The rapture of that meeting. Oh! The joy to see you come.
