Edward Anthony Jr., 75, passed away on February 19, 2025, in Galena Park, Texas. He was born on September 30, 1949, in Paterson, New Jersey. Edward was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather who brought joy and laughter to those around him. His warmth and kindness left a lasting impact on his family and friends. He had a deep love for sports and was an avid fan of NASCAR racing as well as the New York Yankees, New York Giants, and all New York sports teams.
Edward is preceded in death by his parents, Sylvia and Edward Anthony; his brother, Glenn Anthony; and his granddaughter, Catherine Anthony. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ann Anthony; his daughter, Crystal Anthony; his sister, Sharon Anthony Sharp; his nieces Erika Torres, Sheree Weiss and Brittany Stockstill; his nephew David Callahan Jr.; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 2pm to 8pm at Blackwell & Vazquez Woodforest Funeral Home, located at 750 Uvalde Rd., in Houston, Texas. Services officiated by Father Henry Walker will begin at 4pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s Overnight Walk in memory of Edward’s granddaughter Catherine.
