At the age of 18, while working at the Olympia Candy Kitchen in Hillsboro, she met Charles Farquhar and they were married four months later. They settled in the Houston area around 1948, moving to North Shore in 1960 where they raised 4 children. They were married for 71 years when her beloved Charlie passed away in July 2015. They were faithful members of the Church of Christ throughout those years. She is preceded in death by both parents, her loving husband, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, 1 son Daniel Farquhar, and 2 grandsons, Randall and Mark Farquhar. She is survived by her children Donald Farquhar and wife Carolyn, Eddie Farquhar and Wife Wanda, Joyce Dow and husband Guy. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kevin, Diane, Robbie and wife Annette, Kathy, Michael and wife Tricia, Scott and wife Keely, Bradley and wife Amy, Emily and husband Michael and Kayla; along with many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, who lovingly called her “Granny”.
