Hector is survived by his five children: Rosa, Jose, Christina, Paul, and Rachael Motilla; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; his brother, Guillermo de Jesus Motilla Manrique; and sister, Maria de Jesus Motilla Manrique Morales.
He is proceeded in death by his wife, Margaret Garza Motilla; his daughter, Sarah Motilla; two granddaughters, Miranda Jasso and Celeste Martinez; his parents, Jose Andres Motilla Covarrubias and Maria Antonia del Socorro Manrique Flores; his brother, Jose Antonio Motilla Manrique; and his sister Maria Antonia Motilla Manrique Rios.
