Jesus Martinez

Jesus Martinez was born September 29, 1931 in Mexico and passed away peacefully on November 3, 2024 in Houston, Texas. He was an affectionate, dedicated, and a hardworking individual who always put the needs of others ahead of his own. He was known for his compassionate nature, giving spirit, and his witty sense of humor. Jesus was always ready to lend a helping hand and to offer words of comfort to whomever needed it.

Jesus passing will be mourned deeply by everyone who knew and loved him. Jesus's memory will remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those who were honored to have had the privilege of knowing him.  

Jesus is survived by his loving wife, Gloria, of 63 years of marriage, four adult children and their spouses.

His visitation will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Blackwell and Vazquez Funeral Home located at 750 Uvalde Rd. Houston, Texas 77015.

A rosary will be given at 7:00 pm. 

His final viewing will be held the following day, November 12, 2024 at the Vazquez Chapel from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. A funeral procession will immediately follow afterwards to Forest Park Lawndale located at 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023. His committal service will begin at 1:00 pm at the cemetery.
