El Pastor Márquez fue un hombre de fe inquebrantable, esposo ejemplar, padre amoroso, abuelo dedicado y amigo fiel. Desde que entregó su vida a Cristo a los 23 años, perseveró con fidelidad y fue creciendo firmemente en su fe. Durante más de 25 años, sirvió como pastor con pasión, humildad y entrega, tocando innumerables vidas a través de su ministerio, sus oraciones y su constante disposición para ayudar a quien lo necesitara.
Su legado de amor, servicio y fe perdurará en el corazón de todos los que tuvimos el privilegio de conocerlo.
Le sobreviven su esposa, Lucia Marquez, hijos Lucia E. Marquez, Adrian A. Marquez, Gaby Marquez, nietos, familiares y una comunidad entera que lo amó profundamente.
La familia invita a acompañarnos en un servicio de celebración de su vida el día Domingo a las 9:30am y 6 pm, y 10 am el Lunes, en la iglesia Amigos de Cristo, 229 Fellows Rd. Houston, Texas 77047. Para ser despedido a casa, a las 2pm en South Park Funeral Home, 1310 N Main St. Pearland TX 77581

In Loving Memory of Jose Martin Marquez
September 14, 1964 – July 26, 2025
Pastor Marquez was a man of unshakable faith, a devoted husband, a loving father, a dedicated grandfather, and a faithful friend. Since giving his life to Christ at the age of 21, he remained steadfast and grew deeply in his faith. For over 25 years, he served as a pastor with passion, humility, and dedication—touching countless lives through his ministry, prayers, and constant willingness to help those in need. His legacy of love, service, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his wife, Lucia Marquez; his children Lucia E. Marquez, Adrian A. Marquez, and Gaby Marquez; grandchildren, extended family, and an entire community who deeply loved him.
The family invites you to join us in a celebration of his life on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., and Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Amigos de Cristo Church, 229 Fellows Rd., Houston, Texas 77047.
He will be laid to rest on Monday at 2:00 p.m. at South Park Funeral Home, 1310 N. Main St., Pearland, TX 77581.
