Jose Antonio Limas, known affectionately by all as "Tony," a proud veteran, devoted father, and beloved brother, entered into eternal rest on December 27, 2025, in Houston, Texas. He was 65 years old. Born on January 13, 1960, in Weslaco, Texas, Tony was the son of the late Jesus Limas and Frances Pacheco Limas. He answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. As a veteran, he took great pride in his service. Semper Fi. Following his military service, Tony built a career at O’Reilly Auto Parts, from which he eventually retired.
Tony lived life with a vibrant Texas spirit. He cherished his frequent trips to Weslaco to visit family. He was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys, enjoyed fishing, admiring classic cars, and watching Western films. He had a deep love for Tejano music, Mexican food, and, above all, time spent with his loved ones. A true family man, Tony is survived by his three sons: Jose Antonio "TJ" Limas Jr., David Anthony Limas (wife, Nathalia), and Michael Anthony Limas; and the mother of his children, Sonia Elizondo.
He is also survived by his beloved older sister, Gloria Limas, and nephews, Gabriel and Bobby Ibarra. His legacy continues through his seven grandchildren: Ashley, Serena, Brecelia, David Jr., Isaiah, Olivia, and Adonis Limas, and his three great-grandchildren: Gianna Edwards, Leilani Bucio, and Israel Flores.
A visitation for Jose Antonio Limas will be held Saturday, January 3, 2025, from 3pm to 9pm with a reading of the rosary to begin at 7pm, at the Vazquez Funeral Home Chapel located at 750 Uvalde Rd in Houston.
