Today, we gather to honor and celebrate the life of Margarita Medrano Aguilar.
Margarita was born on January 15, 1940, to Carlota and Alfredo Medrano in Hobbs, Texas. She was one of 13 siblings and grew up surrounded by the strength and support of a large family.
In September of 1958, Margarita married Manuel Roberto Aguilar, the love of her life. Together they built a family filled with cherished memories and shared moments until his passing on July 8, 1984.
Margarita was a devoted mother to five children and a proud granny to numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Her family was the center of her world, and she cared for each one deeply. She also held a very special place in her heart for her grandson, Adrian Aguilar, who lovingly cared for her for several years. Their bond was built on devotion, trust, and companionship.
Margarita enjoyed the simple things in life that brought her happiness. She enjoyed watching sports on television, especially cheering on her Houston Astros. She also enjoyed spending time working on jigsaw puzzles and word search puzzles, always keeping her mind active and sharp.
Margarita’s strength, kindness, and gentle spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will continue to live on through the family she cherished so dearly.
May she rest in eternal peace and always be remembered with love
