Maria Susana Aguilar Santa Cruz

Maria Susana Aguilar Santacruz or Sussy, as she liked to be called, was born December 3rd 1966 in Tijuana, Mexico to Felisa and Ruben G. Aguilar. She lived a life full of unconditional love and compassion for others and was mother to her two children, Issamar S. Jones and Ruben U. Aguilar. Once her children grew up, Sussy devoted her life to her family members when they were in need. Sussy helped her nephew Ricky Martinez, her grandmother Maria Susana Garcia, and her mother Felisa Aguilar. They enjoyed life together despite not being in good health

 She also took every opportunity to spend time with her beloved grandson Jacob Aiden Jones. She was devoted to Christ and she attended church with her sister Veronica at Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Baytown, TX. She enjoyed large family gatherings and was always the life of the party. Sussy filled those around her with happiness by spreading her joyous laughter.

A visitation for Maria Susana Aguilar Santa Cruz will be held on Friday, December 26, 2025, from 3pm to 9pm at the Vazquez Funeral Home Chapel located at 750 Uvalde Rd, Houston, Tx 77015. The following day, Saturday, December 27, 2025, a final visitation will take place at 10:30am followed by 11am mass at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church located at 7250 Harrisburg Blvd, Houston Tx, 77011. We will then follow in a funeral procession to Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery located at 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, Tx 77023.
