To the most amazing, sweetest, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother..
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Maria Teresa Eslava on April 1, 2025. A woman whose life was a testament to strength, love, and grace. She was born on July 18, 1952 in Mexico City, Mexico. My grandmother touched the lives of countless family and friends with her words of love and her words of encouragement to always be strong. She was a person that anyone could go to just vent or to talk the day away with while sipping a cup of coffee. My grandmother could always put herself in anyone's shoes, she could understand how you felt, and most importantly she gave the best advice. She was the purest and sweetest soul ever. She was a devoted mother to her three children: Carlos Eslava, Yvonne Schroeder, and Alfredo Eslava Jr. She was a grandmother to nine grandchildren: Yvette Alvarado, Francisco Garza, Noe Saldana, Carolina Eslava, Nataly Schroeder, Koa Schroeder, Kalani Shroeder, Miryam Yaretzi Eslava, and Edgar Itzae Eslava. She was also a devoted, caring, humble, and amazing great-grandmother to Adrian Garza and Bella Alvarado.
A Mother’s Prayer
Dear Father in Heaven,
I ask for Your touch.
Bless all my family,
We need You so much.
Grant us Your wisdom
to choose what is right.
To walk in Your pathways
of truth and light.
Strengthen our family
with faith to hold fast,
to cherish and nurture
the treasures that last.
Teach us to love,
to forgive and to share,
in the realms of the spirit,
to thrive and to dare.
But most of all, Lord
when our journey is through,
bind us together,
forever with You.
