Mariano Lee, Jr. passed away unexpectedly on May 12, 2026 at his home in Houston, Tx. It is with a heavy heart, but with love, respect, honor, and appreciation that we pay tribute to the kind and wonderful person that he was. He was born and raised in the southeast side of Houston; 2nd Ward by the Original Maxwell House and Rainbow Bread. Mariano attended Austin Sr. High School, played football, was part of the National Honor Society, and graduated in the top 10 percent of his class in 1994. His passion for auto mechanics led him to a 20+ yr. career at Autozone, several ASE Certifications, and a position as Commercial Sales Manager. He met and dated the love of his life, Misty, and shortly thereafter they were married on June 12, 2019.
Mariano is preceded in death by his father, Mariano S. Lee, and his wife, Misty N. Melonson Lee. He is survived by his mother-Maria Lee, his older brother-Santiago Lee II, his special sister-Cynthia Varela, his younger sister-Esther Luster, Brother in Law-Alex Luster, Nephew-Benjamin Luster, Neice-Emalee Luster, youngest nephew-Houston Luster, In laws-Allan & Teri Melonson, Stepson -Kendall Lozano, and Sister in law Chloè Melonson.
A special viewing will be held for friends, loved ones and extended family who would like to pay their respects, at Vazquez Funeral Home, 750 Uvalde Rd., Houston, TX. 77015 on Sunday, May 24, 2026 between the hours of 2-8pm.
