Mike Cardoza, born on March 11, 1982, in Houston, Texas, passed away on April 20, 2025 in Houston. He was 43 years old.
Mike shared a devoted partnership with his wife, Jazmin A. Rodriguez. Together for 21 years and married on September 11, 2010 their bond was the foundation of a loving family. Mike was a proud father to five sons: Mike Cardoza Jr. (25), Angel Cardoza (23), Julian Cardoza (18), Jacob Cardoza (11), and Joel Cardoza (9).
He was the beloved son of Several Cardoza and Amelia Landa. Mike is remembered by his siblings Janey Cardoza and Steven Cardoza; he was preceded in death by his brother Severo Cardoza. He also shared close ties with Edgar Landa, Edward Landa, Vanessa Landa, and Jessica Landa, and mourned the loss of Hector Landa.
Professionally; Mike worked as an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician at LyondellBasell, where he applied his skills with dedication and precision.
Beyond his career, Mike had a deep passion for sports—especially baseball. He generously gave his time to the Channelview Little League and proudly coached his select team: The Channelview Crushers. His enthusiasm for athletics extended to basketball and nearly every sport, but it was through baseball that he found one of his greatest joys: mentoring young athletes and building community through teamwork.
Mike’s legacy lives on through the many lives he touched—as a husband, father, son, brother, coach, and friend. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
