Natividad Trevino Obituary

Natividad was born in Nuevo Laredo Mexico on February 8, 1948, and passed away peacefully the morning of June 2, 2022, in Houston Texas at the age of 74. He is preceded in death by his mother and stepfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Carmela as well as his 3 daughters, 2 son-in-laws, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Natividad served his country with pride as a member of the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment in the United States Army. He served in Vietnam from 1968-1969 where he was wounded in action several times. It was there that he earned the National Defense Medal and Purple Heart. He was a machinist who loved working with his hands, there was nothing he could not fix. Throughout his life, he worked at General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin making parts for military aircraft, as well as NASA Johnson Space Center making critical shuttle and space station parts in support of human space exploration. Whether it was bird watching, woodworking, photography or planting trees, everyone knew how much he loved to be outdoors, but what was most important to him was his family and his faith. He was a very active member of the 77th St. Church of Christ and was always there to be counted on with anything. He will forever remain in our hearts, and we will cherish every moment we shared with him.

A visitation will be held at Blackwell & Vazquez Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, from 6pm - 9pm. A prayer service officiated by Federico Hernandez will begin at 7pm. The chapel doors will re-open the following day, Thursday, June 9, 2022, at 9am - 11am. We will then follow in funeral procession to Houston National Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with military honors.
