RICHARD CARRASCO Obituary

Richard Carrasco was born on April 3, 1949 to Selestino Carrasco and Consuelo Mirabal in Palacios, Texas.  He moved to La Porte, Texas when he was 14 years old.  He was a La Porte High School Graduate Class of 1968.

Richard was preceded in death by his father:  Selestino Carrasco, mother:  Consuelo Mirabal Gamez, wife: Maria Ines Sanchez de Carrasco, Sister:  Rosa Carrasco, Sister: Eva Laredo and brother: Jose Perez.

Richard leaves us to cherish memories of laughter, happiness and love, an unconditional love, that he brought during his precious time on Earth.  He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family.

Richard retired from La Porte ISD after 30 years of service.  He loved what he did.  He enjoyed helping the children, teachers and staff at the school he worked at.  He owned a janitorial company where he employed his family members.  Richard was all about helping his family.  He loved to attend all of his grandchildren’s extra-curricular activities.  He was their number one cheerleader.  His love of music was passed down to his daughters.  He was his daughters’ superman.  He not only raised his daughters, but he also raised his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He set a great example of how a great man should be.  We will hold all the wonderful memories dear to our hearts forever.

He is survived by his brother:  Roberto Perez, brother:  John Carrasco, sister:  Mary Perez, son:  Aaron Bernard, daughters:  Ana Carrasco, Ines Patricia Torres, Martha Torres, Blanca Cook, son-in-law:  Paul Cook, grandchildren:  Anthony Bernard Jr., Alexandra Bernard, Richard Torres, Adela Torres, Angelo Bernard, Matthew Torres, Luke Torres, Madison Palamidy, Sarah Torres and Sophia Cook, great-grandchildren:  Alana Bernard, Raelynn King, Amina Bernard, Eric Furtado Jr., Jayden Bernard and Eli Furtado, and a host of relatives and friends.
