Rolando Garza passed away peacefully June 15, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. Rolando was known for his generous heart, outgoing personality, and love of music. A true rock and roll fan, he especially loved Ozzy Osbourne and enjoyed sharing his passion for music with those around him. He had a gift for conversation, never met a stranger, and could make friends wherever he went. His sense of humor and larger than life personality left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Rolando is survived by his children, Monica Luna, Rolando Luna, Armando Luna, Serena Luna, and Harley Garza, as well as his beloved fur babies, Ozzy and Bella. He is also survived by his siblings, Jaime Garza, Tony Garza, Eliasar Garza, and Sandra Garza. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Pedro Garza and Suzie Garza.
In his final days, Rolando was surrounded by family, music, and love, the things that brought him the greatest comfort throughout his life. As songs filled the room, loved ones shared precious moments by his side, offering comfort, companionship, and peace. Rolando will be remembered for his generous spirit, his love of rock and roll, his unforgettable personality, and the many lives he touched throughout his journey. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, beginning at 1pm to 5pm at the Vazquez Funeral Home Chapel located at 750 Uvalde Rd.
