It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sophia Ann Castillo, who departed this life at the age of 55. She was a mother, sister, and grandmother to 24 grandchildren and great-grandmother to two great-grandchildren.
Sophia was diagnosed with cirrhosis, and for nearly a year, she fought this disease with everything in her, all the way up to being placed on the transplant list. After being listed, she was expected to have a liver within two days, but God said, "No more suffering, I'm taking you home."
Sophia's love for music was a defining part of her life. She found joy in singing and dancing, always bringing warmth and energy to every moment. Her vibrant spirit and deep love for her family and friends will be missed by all who knew her.
Sophia’s legacy will live on in the hearts of her loved ones, and she will always be remembered for the life she lived so fully.
She leaves behind a void in our hearts, but we take comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her mother, Nicanora Pizarro; her father, Johnny Pizarro; her sister, Cecilia Pizarro; her brother, Johnny (Tito) Pizarro; and her son, Manuel Pizarro.
She is survived by her beloved children: Sandra Castillo, Martin Castillo, Henry Sierra, and Alex Sierra; her siblings, Beatrice Salazar, Deborah (Debbie) Lobato, Linda Pizarro, Noe Pizarro, and Orlando Pizarro; and many other family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
